The fact that the new job is with the same company the father retired from 2 years ago still tickles me to no end.

There was a familiarisation briefing conducted at his old workplace last week. I was brought around the whole building and not only did I finally got to see what he actually did at work, I made a pitstop at his old workstation and also caught up with his ex-colleagues, some of whom I knew from when I was a little girl.

It was so surreal. Apart from finally seeing his office for the last couple of decades, his ex-colleagues are now my colleagues.

Wicked.
