One of the most innovative and influential figures in modern architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright (American, 1867–1959) favored simplicity and good craftsmanship and design over opulence. Exhibiting bold originality both in structure and aesthetics, his pioneering work helped to bolster the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement. This clock is adapted from a 1905 art glass window by Wright created for the living room of the W.A. Glassner House in Glencoe, Illinois. Produced in cooperation with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Taliesin West, Scottsdale, Arizona.
Mineral glass panel and solid wood base with a light cherry stain. Height 6 1/4 in., width 6 1/4 in., depth 2 in.
