Cookie Mueller is the author of the compiled writings in Ask Dr Mueller, one of my favourite books of all time. She was a true-blue hippie chick, in the words of her good friend John Waters, she was “a writer, a mother, an outlaw, an actress, a fashion designer, a go-go dancer, a witch-doctor, an art-hag, and above all, a goddess”.
She had a column in the East Village Eye as Dr Mueller. And mind you, she's no doctor! Some other day I shall reproduce excerpts of her Q&A here.
