One of the eternal questions of life is why our parents are always sticking their noses in our affairs. What we should study, what we should do with our lives, how much we should be earning, who we should be seeing, when we should get married, when we should have children, how many children we should have, and so forth.
If I listen to their advice on how to deal with my life, and things happen like they said things would, of course they will say, “I told you so”. But if my original choice turns out to be the right one, when I cry will they cry with me?
